The IFSWA is always eager to welcome new members! Membership is open to anyone, we only ask that members under the age of 15 have a parent/guardian present with them at all club functions.

Membership Benefits
In addition to admission to the monthly meetings, benefits of being a member include a monthly newsletter, access to the "members only" section of this website, access to the club email discussion list, and much more! And don't forget about the opportunities to participate in other fun club-related activities such as movie nights, costume-making workshops, replica prop building workshops, and fanfilm production!

In addition, being a member gives you access to the expertise of other members. We have members who specialize in collecting, prop-building, costume making, gaming, and more. Chances are, if it's Star Wars related, we've got somebody who knows all about it.

Membership Dues
Membership dues are just $4.00/month. Dues are payable on a yearly basis, if you prefer. If choosing to pay yearly, the amount is just $35.00/year. That's a $13.00 savings! And, if you're a couple, you can both be members for a low total of just $50.00/year!

So, what do the dues pay for?
Membership dues pay for club expenses such as: meeting room rentals; refreshments; supplies (plates, cups, spoons, etc); printing, paper, and postage for the newsletter; website hosting; and more!

So, what are members required to do?
In order to balance the workload, members are asked to take on small tasks to help with club operations. Some examples of these tasks include: membership on committees such as meeting setup, refreshments, cleanup; Club Treasurer; Club Secretary; Newsletter Publisher; and much more. In addition, we ask that all members participate in our charity events such as our food drive during the summer and our Christmas Toy Drive.

Finally, we ask that all members adhere to the club bylaws.
