History
The Idaho Falls Star Wars Alliance was founded in September 2000. In January 2001, it was awarded official chapter status by FanForce - an effort to organize Star Wars fans sponsored by theforce.net.

We currently have over 20 active members, and over 40 people currently subscribe to our email list.

Club Focus
The IFSWA focuses on providing fans of the Star Wars saga with opportunities to meet other fans, participate in fun activities appropriate for all age groups, and extend their knowledge of the Star Wars universe.

In addition, the club is committed to charity work. We sponsor a yearly toy drive for underpriveledged children and have also sponsored food drives. It's our way of giving back to the community.

Monthly Meetings
The IFSWA has an official meeting on the 2nd Friday of every month, unless there are extenuating circumstances (such as a holiday) that require the meeting to be rescheduled. Monthly meetings are currently being held at the Idaho Falls Public Library, and begin promptly at 7:00pm.

In addition to the official monthly meetings, club members participate in a variety of other activities throughout the year. Check our online calendar to see what's coming up.

Special Events
In addition to the monthly meetings and other fun activities, the IFSWA holds 4 special events throughout the year: A summer barbecue; A Halloween Pary; A Christmas/New Year's Party; and a fanfilm mini-festival in the spring.
